Who do we think is off to a surprisingly good or bad start so far this season?
I think Coweta at 0-4 and Bishop Kelley at 1-3 are surprising given last years success. I know the lost some key players but don’t see these records 4 games in.

I know the lost some key players but don’t see these records 4 games in. Couldn't agree more with these two teams. Wouldn't doubt if they were victims of the transfer portal being so close to the Bigger Tulsa programs that are powerhouses in 6a every year. It could just be a down year as well for both programs. |

Bishop I can see the transfer portal affecting for sure… but Coweta is a 5A community they are always going to have some kids there… even if transfer portal gets some of them… they should still compete. They have played a solid schedule to date as well though.

I felt the same way about Coweta due to their strength of schedule… until they were stomped 35-0 by a McAlester team I felt the opposite about. I thought McAlester was a little overrated having barely beaten an Ada team that was stomped by Ardmore who were stomped by Shawnee. I’m not sure what to think right now. Is McAlester really good this year? Is Coweta really this bad? Or is it somewhere inbetween? That whole district will be interesting to watch. McAlester and Shawnee (!!) sitting at 3-1 on the season and 1-0 in district and Bishop Kelley and Coweta at the bottom was not expected.

Shawnee a pretender? Hard to believe Bishop Kelley and Coweta are struggling. McGuinness is the one that has surprised me after getting stomped by Deer Creek. I little surprised Guthrie has struggled as well

Guthrie graduated a bunch but I think they will be playing good football by the end of the year.
